Matt
The value for my money was excellent, with a comfortable bunk bed and a kitchenette in the room. The location, just a 5-minute walk from Central Park, was ideal. The staff treated me well and the community room with free coffee and Wi-Fi was a nice touch.
The only thing that could improve is the breakfast option, which could have had more variety.

It locates near everything
I went there and found out that there is no reservation on the site, so I had to stay in a room which I hadn't booked for. The room looked like it is not done with the renovation yet. The bathrooms are awful... I don't like being there and have no plan to be there ever again

Great value for a stay in the Upper West Side with easy access to Central Park. Quiet area with nice eateries nearby. Convenient online reservation and check-in even in the middle of the night. Staff was excellent and the room was spacious and well-equipped with heating and air conditioning options. Multiple transportation routes and subway station nearby.
Felt very well taken care of, no complaints at all.

The bed was as hard as asphalt. Couldn't sleep because of it. Elevator the size of a tiny closet, television had no power cord or cables so no tv. Radiator for lack of heat. The whole experience was horrible.

I traveled alone and stayed 4 nights at this Hostel. Positive things: - Very clean bathroom - Excellent location - Cheap - Free towels
What I didn't like: - Poor breakfast (only bagels) - Beds were making A LOT of noise!!! - The walls were thin and you could hear everything! - beds were small - Did not offer lockers - Had to pay for Wi-Fi

The hostel is very fairly priced and seemed updated. The bathrooms were huge with large glass showers. The kitchen was nice and well equipped and the lounge was very comfortable with a large tv, so if i didn't feel like going out i could relax down there. After spending the night at the airport, this hostel felt like a palace. Great stay :-)
The plumbing is very old and noisy and i would be woken up several times a night to a clanking sound that lasted several minutes.

I got amazing value for my money at this hotel. The room was nice and spacious, with a big window and enough storage space. The location was perfect, with metro lines and Central Park just a short walk away. The staff treated me well, making my check in and check out smooth, and they were always responsive to my requests.
The food for breakfast could have been better if there were more options available.

Very good value for money. The place seemed recently renovated. Excellent location in upper west side, close to subway & Central Park. Neighborhood looked safe. No weirdos/hobos in the hostel. A perfect choice for a short stay in Manhattan if you're not too demanding on comfort and services.
Old building located on Amsterdam Av, so it's very noisy. Plumbing also noisy. Breakfast could be improved (only coffee & muffins) then again fooding is not the purpose of this type of establishment.

For the price, the room I had at this hostel was spacious and comfortable, especially since I only had to share it with one other person. The location was fantastic, just two blocks away from Central Park and close to shops and a subway station. The front desk lady was lovely and provided welcoming and friendly service.
The breakfast menu could be improved with more options or variety.

The location of this hostel is fantastic, with the metro station just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city. being near Central Park was a big plus, as it provided a lovely green space to relax in.
The bathroom facilities could use some improvement, as mentioned in some reviews. The small size of the bathroom and shower, as well as the old and broken fixtures, were not ideal.

Keith
Friendly staff, great location, affordable prices, nice amenities.
Couldn't stay longer.
-
William
Comfortable bunk beds, well-functioning heating and AC, pleasant lobby with amenities, friendly front desk staff, clean bed linen and sheets, complimentary coffee and shuttle service.
Could not be improved in any way.
